Chungcheongbuk-do Establishes Strategy to Expand Utilization of the 4th-Generation Multipurpose Synchrotron Radiation Accelerator

Reporter Shin Dong-bin, Jungbu Maeil — On the 27th, the province held the “Forum on Utilization Strategies for the Multipurpose Synchrotron Radiation Accelerator for Industry–Academia–Research Collaboration and Co-prosperity” at the College of Pharmacy, Chungbuk National University in Seowon-gu, Cheongju. During the first session, participants shared operational cases from the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory.

In the second session, Vice Chair Yoo Sung-sook of the Industry–Academia–Research Innovation Council for the Multipurpose Synchrotron Radiation Accelerator and Professor Kim Dong-hyun of Chungbuk National University presented an interim report on one of the council’s planning projects, “Development Plan for the Innovation Council (2025–2030).” Jeon Do-seong, Director of the Synchrotron Accelerator Promotion Division, stated,
The forum was co-hosted by Chungcheongbuk-do Province, the Industry–Academia–Research Innovation Council, the Synchrotron Convergence Research Institute at Chungbuk National University, Cheongju University, Korea University Sejong Campus (Department of Accelerator Science), and the Chungbuk Institute of Science and Technology Innovation.
